Proud to be back in lovely Chiang Mai for our 28th Tour! Special thanks goes to Khun Warunee and the DTW Hotel. The team boasts a truly international mix of returning loyal Postels and forever Bahrain/Awali players, and supporters coming from all corners of the globe, all for the love of cricket. The 2026 squad promises plenty of cricket, camaraderie and plenty of fun both on and off the field. Thanks to our friends and supporters from home and abroad — especially those joining us from Perth, London, Melbourne, Thailand and beyond.
This year’s tour is dedicated to Barrie Radburn, who sadly passed away in late 2025. He was the former Chiang Mai Sixes Team Coordinator, but in recent years was an integral supporter for both Awali/Perth Postels teams. We will be thinking about Barrie, and may he be smiling down on us during the tournament.

Darren "Boner" White
Welcome again to Boner who returns after his Virgin tour in 2025. Darren bought a lot of energy to the camp last year and we expect him to keep spirits high in 2026. Being close friends to Bulli, Sat and others, we are waiting to see what trouble Darren and these lads get up to after dark in Chiang Mai.
-
David 'Schef' Scheffer
A huge welcome back to Chiang Mai to Schef. First toured with the Perth Postels back in 1997 and was a Cup Winner in 1999. Also played in 2 losing Cup Semi-Finals for the Postels and enjoyed the highs for the team back in those days. Still playing regular active cricket in Perth for Applecross CC, so still fit and ready to go. Enjoys the nightly activities of Chiang Mai but is not overly sure that he can back up the same way as years gone by. However, I reckon with influence from some of the younger brigade of the Postels, I am sure he will give it a go (or maybe Sat will influence him?).
-
Eddie "Rimmo" Rimmington
Eddie has been a very welcome Perth Postels member who is on his 3rd tour of Chiang Mai. Like Pavit, always helpful with things like team shirts, but also received his fair share of slammers in 2025 for t-shirt size inconsistencies.
Rimmo just recently came back from a cricket tour of India, which boasted interesting performances both on and off the field. Since last year, Eddie and his plastic Kangaroo have travelled the world, including the 3rd Cricket Test Match in Jamaica, Penang, and recently in Kolkata and Guwahati.
An enthusiastic cricketer, look out for Eddie and his Kangaroo around Chiang Mai during the tournament.
-
Ian "Reds" Liddell
A welcome back to Chiang Mai to Reds. Reds is a veteran to Thai cricket being a great friend and firm supporter of the Chiang Mai Cricket Sixes from the late 1990's. Former player of the excellent "Warathai's" of years gone by, now living in Southern Thailand.
A brilliant player who could Bowl, Bat, Catch and has a lightening throw which a batsman dared to challenge during a recent tournament in Penang and came off second best with another run out to Reds’ name in the scorebook.
During his youth, Reds represented his state NSW in Baseball at Junior level. Looking forward to a valued catch up with Reds!
-
Ike Bekker
A welcome back to Ike (we hope) for his 3rd Chiang Mai Sixes event. Ike provides a lot to the Postel’s Youth Policy as he has a good eye and has a golden arm with the ball.
However, Ike found out last year that “good performances”, don’t exempt him from his fair share of “cricket related” slammers which he received during the tournament.
Ike travels up from Phuket where he is a good part of the cricket fraternity down there.
Looking forward to Ike’s performances on the field and the fine sessions off it in 2026.
-
Karl "Shepelle" Prescott
A welcome back to Karl to Chiang Mai again. Karl is fresh from his representation for Western Australia in the over40’s national titles in Adelaide and recent subcontinent tour of India brings a lot of experience to the team.
Originally a "Kiwi" he now calls Perth home. He loves to brew his own booze and his last visit in Chiang Mai in November 2025 was a momentous one as he was involved in an impromptu “commitment ceremony” after an afternoon of drinking his homebrew.
Karl brings a lot of energy both on and off the field.
-
Michael "Cat" Maher
First toured to the Chiang Mai Sixes in 1996, this is "Cat’s" 28th Tour to this wonderful tournament. Cat is a wealth of knowledge and loves a bit of a chat. Cat recently came back from a tour of India, and you couldn’t help but being induced by the dulcet tones of his cricket commentary.
With 2 new Hips and recovering from a right foot infection, Cat showed commitment to the cause by wicketkeeping for a game in 2025. If needed, Cat might will try to roll the arm over but the glory days of being a previous Cup Winner and Runner Up twice are well and truly gone on the field but he is always in form off the field.
Don’t be surprised if you see Cat hailing a Tuk-tuk to old “Spicy” to test out that new hip on the dancefloor.
-
Patrick “Big Pat” Weinstein
Pat is a tour virgin and joins us in Chiang Mai in 2026. Pat is a very big man being 6ft 7in thus being called Big Pat.
Friends with Eddie, Pat was roped into playing club cricket after a10year break and has enjoyed his comeback to cricket smashing big sixes and bowling bouncers from his big bird height.
Most likely he will be the tallest player at the Tournament but deep down he is a gentle giant. Pat is the life of the party with a lot of engaging stories to tell, so you can’t miss him at 6ft 7in tall.
A welcome addition to the Postel’s team and another addition to the “Youth Policy”. (relatively speaking)
-
Pavit "Pav" Grover
Wonderful to have Pavit again playing for the Perth Postels in 2026.
Pavit is the unofficial mayor of Pattaya and if you get a chance to travel to Pattaya after the tournament don’t be shy and patron his family restaurant “Alibaba”.
He, like Eddie adds to the tour in many ways, but make sure when dealing with shirt sizes you confirm between international and Thai sizes.
Pav loves his cricket and will add a lot of local knowledge and experience to the team.
-
Rosano "Rosco" Martins
Rosco has become a "Regular" in Chiang Mai, able to add some local knowledge to the Postels Tour.
Rosco has been a reliable player and often the “last man standing” who is ready to play when others have indulged in too much fun from the night before and go MIA (Missing in Action) the next day.
Loves his cricket and visiting Optus Stadium in Perth. Keenly supports the group and the tour, it is brilliant to always have him steadying the ship!
-
Satpal "Satnav" Hunjan
Satnav is a good laugh and is an important member of the Postels Team.
Named as a Player ONLY if needed, as strict instructions were, "Not playing this year". However, every year Sat finds himself on the field taking a nonchalant catch or putting his body on the line to save a boundary.
He is the Postels hidden talent, both on and off the field. Nothing he does shocks me anymore, always brilliant to share a good chat and laugh with Sat.
Sat’s tries to mentor younger players like Eddie on the charms of Chiang Mai and Loi Koi Boxing ring.
I have never met someone who leaves Chiang Mai with more stories than he came with.
-
Terence "Terry" Paiva
Terry joins us again (hopefully) after being a Tour Virgin in 2025.
Terry is a very handy cricketer and gives 110% on and off the field. He played half of last year’s tournament with a fractured hand which was discovered post tournament.
Living in Pattaya, Terry’s Thai language skills and local knowledge will provide value to the group and don’t be surprised if he like Ike is a recipient of a “cricket related” slammer or two based on performances on the field and maybe a couple off it as well.
-
Tim Peters
A Perth Postels Tour Virgin, Tim comes to us after the highs of winning last year’s Cup with the Drifters. Very good friends for many years, so a huge welcome and boost for the developing Perth Postels playing squad. Loves touring and really enjoys Chiang Mai, the food and atmosphere of the Chiang Mai Sixes. He also plays Senior Cricket in the UK, where he manages to stay fit, preparing for his yearly trip to Chiang Mai and other off-season adventures.
-
Gerrard "Bulli" Hall
Bulli is a true Englishman in Chiang Mai and the metaphoric glue of the Perth Postels.
Bulli was a mainstay of the Awali club and now is pivotal in getting the old crew together to join us to ensure of a brilliant tour. Bulli loves a good time both on and off the field; however, watch him look the other way when it comes to Vodka Slammer sessions.
Hence the Nickname "Bulli", as he holds very little down. Enjoys the odd night out around town, always adding a hilarious twist to a fun night out.
-
Ian "Judge" Kellow
Hear now, the Court is in session. Ian the Judge calls this after every Perth Postels game and certainly makes everybody pay!
Very shrewd and funny, is right on to any misadventure on or off the field. We always need to watch our performance no matter what time of day it is. The Judge will be a welcome addition back as our Slammer sessions got out of hand during his absence in 2025.
The Judge has a taste for the finer things in life, which has tested the belt strap of the team resources. Living locally in Thailand, however never seems to "be alone", as his whereabouts are always in question!
-
Ian "Pappa" Steele
The Postels welcome back to Ian or Pappa, formerly from Queensland, Australia, who now calls Thailand home.
Pappa just came back from a tour of India, where he got well acquainted with Eddie’s plastic kangaroo at the Calcutta Cricket and Football Club (CCFC).
Pappa returned to Thailand with a bit of luggage from India but he was able to use his Aviation work experience to sweet-talk the check-in girls on AirAsia to bring back several trophies for “safe keeping”. His better half, "Luvee" attempts to keep in check, however I doubt that she has much success.
Pappa enjoys the odd beer or two to be social, but needs to be careful as a big night out might result in a cracked rib or two.
-
Kevin “Nemo” Lovegrove
A Long Term Awali Member (first tour and all I reckon), who like others became a good Perth Postels friend. So now a big Local part of the Perth Postels (Awali).
Sure enjoys the finer parts of life, drinkis, food and a good time.
Has a “Life of Brian” time there in Chiang Mai and always a welcome hello upon arrival there in lovely Chiang Mai.
-
Rex "Slydog" Evans
Slydog is a veteran of Chiang Mai and is always a very popular man in this part of the world. While Doggy is well known these days as a very good umpire in Chiang Mai, we expect some 50/50 decisions in favour of our way. Always a huge laugh and enjoys a great time both on and off the field, he has remained a big part of the Postels Touring since his first tour to Chiang Mai in 1997, and we look forward to seeing him at Chiang Mai in 2026.
-
Richard "Richie" Sulway
We welcome Richie back to Chiang Mai after missing out in 2025. Richie will be the voice of reason and be there to guide us through what is a tough week. Always ensures that there are beers at hand and cold. Like Humpty, we do need some responsible adults in the room to keep us all in check. Great to see Richie back on tour!
-
Skippy (Kev)
Skippy, also known as "Kev" known by Cat is on his 2nd tour of Chiang Mai (maybe 3rd??). This plastic Kangaroo has been to more countries in a 15-month period than some would go in one's life-time.
A very easy to travel with supporter, shows up at the big events, doesn't complain and easily portable through security scans at immigration (when deflated).
If this kangaroo could talk, it would have plenty of stories to tell, making connections with local dignitaries and opening doors for his father Rimmo, to close.
I wonder if the magic of Chiang Mai will spark relations with "Pappa" again during the tour???
-
Stan "Humpty" Spink
A big welcome back to Stan again after his return back in 2025.
Stan always acts as the Team Manager at the ground, also keeping an eye on things to ensure that all runs smoothly.
Has again produced and supplied the Team Tour Cap which is always a special Take Home memory of the tour.
It will be a pleasure having him in the tent, keeping us Postels in check
