We are very excited to return for our 22nd Tour to the exciting Chiang Mai Sixes event. The Postels has had big success at this event over the years and always enjoy our time in this lovely city. Some old faces are back to compliment our brilliant group of Players & Supporters for this year event. Also a special "well done" for this years 30th Tournament Anniversary" of this wonderful event! Our first tour was 1996, so it is truly lovely to be again returning after 22 yearly tours of the Postels Group to Chiang Mai. We have been lucky enough to have win some of the Groups over the years including the Cup and we are most proud of our efforts. We look forward to catching up with old friends in Chiang Mai and a great week both on and off the field in lovely Chiang Mai. Thanks to Dave, Barrie, Taran, Richard and everybody there in Chiang Mai for your efforts.

Perth Postels Players

  • Brett "BC" Cole

BC has been trying hard to return to Chiang Mai for a number of years and this year being the 30th event made sense for a return. Hails from New Zealand, however has become a most loyal Perth Postels Player. Still plays a good level of cricket at home, so look forward to some enjoyable cricket from him on field. Thanks for providing a team shirt.

  • Brett "Kanga" Bastow

Kanga has become well known in Chiang Mai for his various awards, especially his great efforts on field. However his "best but" award a few years ago was note-worthy for the ldies of Chiang Mai. Bringing his lovely family along again; lovely Jadie, Andie (she is growing up fast) and the new addition, Baby Harry. Always a brilliant contributer on and off the field is Brett, a credit to the Postels who he has been a part of all his life.

  • Minhaj Ahmed Shafil "Kenny"

Our dear friend Shafil finally, we finally have the pleasure of he joining us his friends at the Perth Postels. Always well known for his performances at the Pig Picking nights on the bongo drums, a very talented person indeed. Of course famous for his cricket quality & ability, an absolute gentleman who we welcome very much to our group for 2017.

  • Mitch Barrington

Welcome to Mitch to the Perth Postels Team. He is clearly the youth of the side and will provide some legs on the field, as well with his bowling and batting. He was impressive at his last visit to Chiang Mai and all reports are is that Mitch continues to play some very good cricket back in Melbourne, Australia.

  • Patrick "Minder" Anderson

Best known for his Huge Hitting from the event in the late 1990's, esepcially his 8 ball 40 in the Cup Final in 1999. Made a return to Chiang Mai last year and will again be joiining us. Former Player of Tournament, we always enjoy him around the team, especially late at night when a ?Minder" is needed for most of the squad.

  • Ross Martins

Ross has been a Postels for many years and in recent years has started to enjoy the joys of touring to Aisia for Cricket Sixes events. He enjoyed the Phuket Sixes for a couple of years and now returns for the second time to the Chiang Mai Sixes. Enjoys a game from time to time and is looking forward to again stepping on the ground in Chiang Mai. Of course we can discuss the Real Estate Market more closely with him this year on tour.

  • Tom "Grunter" Grant

A "Tour Virgin" who is looking forward to the experience of touring to Thailand. BC is going to give him a pre-tournament tour pre Chiang Mai, we hope he is still able to take his playing form onto the field. Plays in the same club as BC in New Zealand and from reports is fit and ready to go to contribute on and off field for the Postels.

  • Wayne "Morro" Morrison

Thank goodness Morro made the decision a few weeks ago "stuff it, I am booking and going again". Wayne has become a big part of the Postels socially and on field for the team. Has played some great innings for the team over the years. Loves a laugh, a good time and the late nights involved when touring with the Perth Postels.

Perth Postels Supporters

  • Andrew "AndrewT" Taveira

On his second tour to the Chiang Mai Sixes, has been speaking of his good time ever since. Enjoys a drink, chat and good laugh, will have a ball for this years special Postels 22nd and the tournaments 30th event. Enjoys Thailand and all the country has to offer very much. Chiang Mai was spoken about for years in our days working for Australia Post.

  • Ged "Bulli" Hall

A really nice person from England and it is always a joy to welcome Bulli and his mate Sal at all Postels parties and tours. Loves the Chiang Mai event and creates laughs a moments with his humour and laughter. His smirk is very much a part of the laughs he creates. He proudly joins us in Postel's Land and is a huge part of the tour on and off the field.

  • Geoff Stearn

A huge welcome back to Geoff after many years of support to the Chiang Mai Tournament, always there to help with Junior Cricket Development and always most kind in helping wherever possible. Is always most welcomed into the Postels Tent and we enjoy his continued support, smiles and good solid input. Always great to see Geiff around.

  • Ken "T-Bags" Bushell

A huge welcome back to this wonderful Chiang Mai tour for Tour Stalwart T/Bags. Joined the first ever tour in 1996 where he fell over in Bubvbles within 2 hours of arriving. Also a huge friend of Ruth and Jenny in Chiang Mai, something about nicknames. A true legend of the Perth Postels and has turned up on and off during the full 22 years of our touring. Also good for a laugh, enjopys the tour and Chiang Mai and is raring to go.

  • Kevin "Crazy German" Buchanan

Our local Chiang Mai good friend who is always around to help the Perth Postels out in the lead-up and during the Chiang Mai Cricket Sixes. We met him when he was based in Phuket and have had a close friendship since he opened his Crazy German Bar in Chiang Mai a few years ago. Kevin will be with us all week offering his support in his way.

  • Michael "Cat" Maher

This is Cat's 22nd copnsecutive tour to the Chiang Mai Sixes and feel smost satisfied that the team this year will very much respect and enjoy the respect and honour of the tournament, which has always been the case.

Fantastic to again be touring to lopveky Chiang Mai, but with fantastic friends.

  • Neil Harvey

Neil is an old friend of Cat, having toured all over Europe on various occassions. Loves to travel and has been bound for Chiang Mai for a long time. Finally he is hoping to get to Chiang Mai to hang out and relax with the group. Loves a chat, a beer or 3 and also great food, which of course Thailand has a lot of. Also a Tour Vigin this year for the Postels.

  • Richard "Richie" Sulway

A huge welcome back to Richie this year to enjoy the 30th Anniversary. The Geo. of the group, after a busy year travelling is looking forwrd to some relaxed beers in Chiang Mai. Loves a laugh and very much enjoys the game of cricket, especially the slog of Sixes Cricket. No doubt he will enjoy to be back in Chiang Mai.

  • Stan "Humpty" Spink

Humpty over the past 4 years has become the Internal Machine of the Perth Postels set-up to ensure we function each day. Hails from over 3,000 km's from Perth near Newcastle, however has become an extrememly loyal Perth postels man. Loves Chiang Mai, loves his cricket and is excited to again be enjoying Chiahg Mai. Thanks also for his kind efforts producing the team tour cap.
