NT Bushrangers

The Bushies are back for their 6th Sixes campaign, and once again with a mixture of veterans and virgins. After taking out the Spoon in 2025, the Bushies will be hoping for more success this year with some recruited talent, just hoping the bodies will hold out. We look forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new ones over a game of cricket.

NT Bushrangers Players

  • 11. Garry 'The Hulk' Fischer

    LH Batter/Bowler, Wicketkeeper

Mr Fischer is back for another head spinning year of international cricket, armed with his trusty head protector and collection of squeaky ducks, he is indeed a very recognisable Bushie. When he's not falling over and cracking his head, he is keeping stumps and keeping tally of others misdemeanour's. He has also been recruiting during his 11 month off-season so we look forward to meeting his cricket legend mate, Jeff.

'The Hulk' lives in Berry Springs and this is his 3rd tour with the Bushies

  • 111. BJ Rouse

    RH Batter/Bowler

    TOUR VIRGIN

    .

BJ resides in Alice Springs and this is his first Sixes tour.

  • 26. Mark 'One More' Schmidt

    Captain, RH Batter/Bowler

A lover, not a fighter is what most people say about Schmidty. A quiet and gentle man on and off the field, but after dark turns into a party machine. 'One more fellas' can be heard up and down loi kroh road, usually with Frenchie and Joomby leading him astray I might add. Captained the Bushies to a Spoon win last year, aiming for one level higher this year if the body holds out.

Schmidty lives in Darwin River and this is his 7th tour with the Bushies.

  • 54. Tonic (Gin and Tonic) Jeche

    RH Batter/ Bowler, Wicketkeeper

    TOUR VIRGIN

Another virgin: Tonic missed a few years due to injury but will make up for lost time this year. Not the best bowler or batter, but he can get in the road behind the stumps and stop a few. Tonics best use will be sitting next to Joomby planning the night ahead. Also, Tonic has been a long-time sponsor of the Bushies so we look forward to giving our thanks over a San Mig or two.

Tonic comes from Katherine, and this is his first tour with the Bushies.

  • 55. Kelvin 'Rinks' Lampton

    RH Batter/Bowler

Back for another go is Ol' rinkledick. In between snoozing in corridors and hitting his head on the hotel wall, he'll be helping his room mate and partner in crime Bowz. Hoping rinks is keen for another hit, just like his golfing, if he gets hold of it, it will go for miles. He's just got to look after himself the night before. The oldest Bushie in history, but young at heart, always good for a yarn and a beer.

Bongo is from Ayr, NQ and is his 2nd trip with the Bushies.

  • 65. Bruce 'Bowz' Bowater

    RH Batter/Bowler

Bowz is back for round 2, in fact 2 must be his favourite number. Often sporting a brown dressing gown and a cigar at the bar late at night, always up for a beer and a laugh. A few small injuries kept him quiet on the field last year, but a fit Bruce will be a handful to the opposite teams with his rocket like bowling and, he still has a keen eye with the bat. With his own private masseuse and herbal doctor, we look forward to big things from Bowz.

Bowz comes from Townsville and he is returning for his second tour.

  • 68. Jeff 'JC' Craigie

    RH Batter/Bowler, Wicketkeeper

    TOUR VIRGIN

New to the Bushies, we look forward to meeting 'Jepery' and seeing if he's anything like his brother 'Rolf' A very talented cricketer in his day, so we've heard, enjoys a beer or three, reckon he will fit right in. More to come when we get more goss on him

JC comes from Adelaide and this is his first Bushie tour.

  • 69. Daniel 'Danielson' Rosas

    RH Batter/Bowler, Wicketkeeper, Vice-Captain

You wouldn't meet a more relaxed person than the 'smooth operator' or 'smooth criminal'. Men want to be him; Chiang Mai ladies want to be with him. A good bloke to go walking the streets with, you never know where you might end up. A handy cricket mind in which goes undervalued at times, and a useful keeper, bowler and slogger; but his biggest talent is to be seen after the cricket.

Danielson is from Katherine, and he is back for his 3rd tour to Chiang Mia.

  • 7. Chai

    RH Batter/Bowler

Chai had a very good Sixes tournament last year, with bat and ball and we look forward to watching him go from strength to strength this year as an important member of the Bushies. As a lot of us get older, it's quite reassuring to see these youngsters hold their own and will play more of a leading role in years to come.

Chai lives in Chiang Mai, and this is his 5th year with the Bushies.

  • 9. Ton

    RH Batter/Bowler

A very good bowler and batter, Ton is one of the most experienced Sixes campaigners for the Bushies and we look forward to another great year from him. We also look forward to having a beer with him and hope he shares some good bars and nightclubs with some of our younger members.

Ton lives in Chiang Mai and this will be his 6th year playing for the Bushies.

NT Bushrangers Supporters

  • 19. Terry 'A Game' French

Fines Master, Drinks Captain, Entertainment Guru, Treasurer.

Frenchie has gone under a few names over the years; Zimmer frame, A game, A grade and a few we can't mention. What will we call him after this year's comp? He is well known to be the last man standing at the Zoom bar on more than one occasion, usually the first one there as well, he is even flying in early this year to get to the bar before anyone else. The heartbeat of the team, but could this be the last we see of Frenchdog in Chiang Mai? or has he got a few good years left in him?

Frenchie lives just over the WA/NT border in Kununarra and this is his 6th tour with the Bushies.

  • 8. Marcus 'Joomby' Rosas

Manager, Fines Master, back up Umpire.

The man, the myth, the legend. Joomby, team founder and first ever life member of the NT Bushies back again as manager and mentor. With a few virgins on board, he has his work cut out again to show them the ropes. As a past player, Captain and umpire, he will enjoy this year just worrying about what night-time activity's he will get us involved in and enjoying the shade of the tent instead of being out in the sun. The soul of the Bushies, and around good bloke, we thank Joomby for past years and many more to come.

Joomby lives in Katherine and this will be his 9th time leading the Bushies.
