The Umpires, Chiang Mai Sixes dispensers of justice, does anyone like us ? do we care ?

Umpires

  • Barry Drake

How will Baz arrive in Chiang Mai this year. The only man to return home on the trans siberian railway a couple of years back. Always finds interesting ways of getting around, no doubt will be on his usual two wheels zooming around the Soi's.

  • Chris Felton

Bienvenue a Chiang Mai to our favourite French Umpire. Had a very welcome visit to North Wales in 2014 and survived. Also survived a session with Hagar at the Trent Bridge test, I'm sure we saw some cricket that day? No doubt Chris shall tell you all about it at the boundary bar.

  • Gavin Shaw

A welcome return for Boss Yarrambat, bet he missed Hagar this winter (summer?)Looking forward to sharing several Banana Daiquiris at the boundary bar and of being relieved of baht at various fines sessions.

  • Herbie Whitlock

George returns to the Umpires spiritual home of the Galare, going upmarket did not agree with him. The boss is not here to control him this year so I'm expecting George to be cleaning extra windows and unaccompanied lamp stands had better watch out. The debriefing will be a top afternoon too!

  • Ian Lock

Locky is the new guy on the panel so please be gentle with him. He brings a wealth of experience from umpiring at a high level in Australia. Hope you enjoy and survive the experience and friendship of the Chiang Mai Sixes

  • Jim Ford

A welcome return for the Darwin legend. Looking forward to seeing Jim once more for some good conversation and for catching up with his old mate Jim Beam. The quiet man of the Umpires panel with a font of knowledge of all cricket matters in Australia's far North.

  • Jim Middleton

Jim will be with his two bodyguards Lukas and Piers once more causing mayhem wherever they go. But really Jin will be keeping them all under control. The usual route march to the Gymkhana club will be undertaken quickly followed by cider and several G & T's. New boys beware, Jim is our enforcer.

  • Paul "Hagar" Jones

No winter trips for Hagar down under this year ,so really ready for a dose of sunshine. Looking forward to being at the best cricket tournament on the planet once more. My dedicated bunch of short sighted deaf brethren have been in hard training flexing the digit, the Galare has loaded up the Umpires stock of cold beers and we are ready to rumble. Note to new guys, the chief umpire likes a cold beer. Bring it on

  • Rex Evans

Sly Dog , where does he disappear to at night, will we ever find out? Do we want to find out ? As long as he is up for an 8.30 am start every morning all will be well.

  • Terry Williams

Big Terry has returned from Mt Isa yet again. His quietly understated style fits in well, as you know all us Umpires are shy and retiring types.
