An outstanding success at the 2014 Chiang Mai Sixes where the team won the Plate to bring the curtain down on finals day in wonderful fashion as they beat Blythswood in the final, the San Miguel Thais will be looking for more trophies this year as the boys are getting better and better. Bunchuai won player of the finals last year and five of the team are now playing in the Bangkok Cricket League. Lanna Juniors are the strongest of the local teams and they also reached the final of the inaugural Lanna Sixes held in December. Younger members of the team have been playing in the National Youth Games for Lamphun while Bunchuai and Chanchai have just represented Thailand against The Willows, an Under-19 side from New Zealand.

Thai Thevada Players

  • Bunchuai

A product of our HTF sponsorship program and captain of the SM Thai team and the star player of 2014 and 2015 in all forms of cricket, developing into a very fine opening batsman at senior level and in demand from many teams, add his more than useful leg spin bowling and lighting fast fielding, this young man is the best young Thai cricketer in Thailand.

  • Champ

Wicket-keeper batsman Champ is a young man learning the ropes but is developing quite nicely, his laid back persona and friendly manner makes him a likable young player.

  • Chanchai

Yet another HTF sponsored cricketer, Chai as he know as will surprise a few more batsman this year with little more extra pace and guile. His batting is starting to move to a new skill level making him a decent bowling all rounder and he is still only 17!

  • Cher

  • Choo

Mr. Choo as he is know in the cricket circles here is a very useful opening bowler. He is another HTF sponsored cricketer and was a key bowler in the teams fantastic win in the plate final last year.

  • Jun

Left arm bowler Jun will bring something different to the team this year, unavailable for last years Sixes but back into full swing this season, a very good fielder and capable batsman he has probably been the pick of the bowlers in Chiang Mai this season. A HTF sponsored cricket who now has a coaching role in Chiang Mai with Martin Papworth.
