Thai Thevada Players

  • Bank

He last played in the Sixes in 2007 for Thai Thevada, but he’s still barely over 20 years old making a comeback in 2013. Lived in the USA for a few years, and now back in Chiang Mai looking to make an impact with his big hitting.

  • Bunchuai

The captain who has developed on the Hilltribe Cricket Program or Hilltribe Fund (HTF) into an excellent keeper/batsman, with the Thai u-16’s during May 2012 in Malaysia, and will be there again in May 2013 with the u-19’s. Outstanding in Chiang Mai and Bangkok Leagues he was also a reserve for the Thailand senior squad for the recent ACC Challenge Trophy held in Chiang Mai last December.

  • Chanchai

Choo’s brother is a fantastic talent who has caught the attention of national coaches. Only just 14, he has been included in the u-19 training squad. From the Hilltribe Cricket sponsorship program he has in less than 4 years shown the potential to become Thailand’s best junior all-rounder.

  • Cher

Another from the HTF, Cher has had a great season with the ball in the Chiang Mai senior league, and has gained recognition from the U-19 Thailand national coaches. Came through the CMSCA Sawasdee cricket ranks, Cher’s powerful hitting should be a feature for Thevada.

  • Choo

Choo is Chiang Mai Cricket Schools Alliance coach in Lamphun, and after 2 years he’s proved a continued success. He won the best bowler award in Chiang Mai Cricket Senior League in 2013.

  • Chris Dodd

Coach for Thai Thevada. On the Sixes committee and CMSCA’s Lamphun coach in his day job. Chris has put a great effort in developing Ladies hardball in Lamphun this year, and the HTF has been a success under his supervision, with most of the players on the program playing for Thailand .

  • Deng

Another Mae On player from Sahakorn2 school. From Myanmar, and still only 14. Deng’s rapid pace has already alerted the Myanmar Cricket coaches to his potential.

  • Formot

A fine technical player originally from Sahakorn2 school in Mae On. Has represented Thailand at U-14 level, and has featured for Gym juniors in the senior league this season.

  • Nikom

An HTF player who at 17 was selected for Thailand’s senior team and had his first cap in December 2012. A stylish batsman and fast bowler who plays in Chiang Mai and Bangkok leagues.

  • Nok

The first girl to play for Thai Thevada, Nok is 14 years old from the HTF and a player who has had a great season. Has proved a vital player for Lamphun Ladies competing in regional tournaments and even in the Chiang Mai senior league her emerging skills will be tested though by the pressure cauldron of playing in her first Sixes. A HTF member.

  • Yuen

A regular for the Gymkhana Juniors team who play in the Chiang Mai Cricket Senior League.
