Red Lion Wombats Players

  • Brad Ladner

A returning Wombat and on this occasion without his wife. On his last visit as a player, Brad commandeered a garbage truck get him back to his hotel after a very late night out with another Wombat.

  • Jason Lock

Will be looking to be guided once again by the experienced campaigners, Wooley on the field and Murph off field.

  • Mark Ferrier

Mark was at the Sixes fifteen years ago, took his rehydration a bit too far and can’t really remember his first experience, he has returned to hopefully get the full enjoyment out of the tournament.

  • Mark Fryer

A package deal with Ron, “Frizie” will be in charge of player fitness and conditioning.

  • Paul Murphy

Our Welsh Wombat, after taking a one-handed catch last year we are afraid his expectations for this year will far outweigh his ability.

  • Peter Nitsche

“Wooley” is the only person to play in every Sixes. Chiang Mai royalty has put in a solid pre-season and like one of his fine wines he gets better with age.

  • Ron Keith

Ron is our star recruit, he comes with vast experience in playing for a number of other teams in the Sixes, should have no problem in fine tuning our game plan into a well oiled machine.

  • Sam Nitsche

Nephew of Wooley, Sam is back for his second sixes and we will be looking for him to make all the runs and get all the wickets.

Red Lion Wombats Supporters

  • Donna Barrington

The better half of Ron, Mother of last year’s player of the tournament. Sure to keep our players in line, will be given the job this year of ensuring all players behave themselves. Good luck Donna.

  • Fritz Boegel

Wombat wicketkeeper in the 80’s and early 90’s who performed in this role in a manner similar to a ballet dancer. The stuff of legends.

  • Peter Hollibone

EARL OF WOMBATSHIRE – Founder and perpetual off-field Wombat Captain who now operates only in slow motion.

  • Ted Stanyer

Wombat enforcer. Ted served as an Australian Embassy guard in both Peking and Moscow in the 70’s and now instead of looking after prime ministers during their travels, he now looks after elderly Wombats.
