Floggers & Robbers Players

  • 1.John ‘Woody’ Wood

This Lilly white Welshman has been part of the floggers and robber for some time now. He too can turn the arm over with his extremely short run up “some say mirroring his size” will be seen on the field only by binoculars. If you think we are short a player you are mistaken, he is on the field somewhere. But besides this his talents on and off the field are nothing short of spectacular. You will notice him off the field after a few slammer sessions as you will be able to hear him from Bangkok with his fog-horn like voice after a few too many.

  • 10. Gary ‘Lang’ Denson

Debutant Gary is another addition to the floggers and robbers mighty army from Australia. With his excellent technique some say he got his nickname from the famous aussie cricketer Justin Langer. We expect great things from him in the future.

  • 2.Cameron ‘Piss-cat’ Mallett

Cameron, Again being a local and this only being his second tournament, Also being a decent cricketer excels more off the field mainly taking the gold medal in the bar for his Light weight ability to take a slammer. Non the less a promising talent on and off the field, lets hope he can keep up.

  • 3.Dave ‘ Ndege ’ Hird

The last surviving member of the ‘Originals’, an ill-fated expeditionary force sent to Chiang Mai from MaaBritish via Zimbabwe in The Year of our Lord Lord Eighteen hundred and six to open trade routes to the oriental and find potential settlements for a colony of lily-white cricketers. Contact was lost sometime in 1809 with all presumed lost or gone troppo / feral. What superlatives can be said about this man that haven’t already been said?? A fearless leader of men, the glue that binds, the spine of the team… … If that spine belonged to a 98 year old man, had curvature, had been broken multiple times, and had degenerative and herniated discs.

  • 4.Graeme ‘Gunner’ Thom

Another Zimbabwean comes through the ranks, Based in chiang Mai this man is weeks short of a hip replacement. When not seen at the bar he may been seen on an emergency call to the chiropractor. Although his stamina in the field is questionable to not doubt his stamina in the bar for 1 second.

  • 5.Leandro ‘Mela Cueca’ Silveira

Weighing in at 350 pounds (his arms) in the Brazilian corner we have the Caveman Leandro, His immaculate bowling technique is something to be feared countrywide, and by country wide I mean you should be wearing a helmet even in the stands because he is so erratic. His abilities on and off the field are something to be admired globally, from arm wrestling to languages skills, the list is endless.

  • 6.Neil ‘Rasputin’ Rasmussen

Locally based South African raised, Neil talents include, bowling and leopard crawling home after a 9 bottle of vodka slammer session in last year’s sixes tournament. Growing up in South Africa has proved that Neil is more than capable with the bat and ball proves in-capable on the slammer front, we wish Neil all the best in the slammer sessions to come.

  • 7.Aydan ‘The Hipster’ Stuart

Again a local here in Chiang mai, People have noticed that Aydan puts more work into his haircut than he does on the field. This being his second tournament be sure to see some horrendous bowling and lady like fielding. Although Aydan is a newcomer he is blending in to the cricket team wonderfully. He never says no to a drink and is more committed in the bar than on the field. Hopefully we see a change this year.

  • 8. Simon “Sandbagger” Grant

Although this man has been out of the sixers for a while he has decided to grace us with his presence. You may remember him from is impeccable athletic skills during his Pole Vaulting show over the boundry rope at a recent Tournament. This mans return will no doubt be nothing short of Majestic.

  • 9. Stu ‘Lung hoi’ Lloyd

Stu comes to us from Down under, but currently based in Chiang Mai. Word on the street is that every skill Matthew Hayden obtained came from the wise advice of the infamous Lung Hoi. Watch out for his left arm round the wicket as the pace he brings is nothing short of frightening.
