Clifton Hill Tom Cats

The World Famous Clifton Hill Tom Cats have been pimped!

What was suppose to be the team that let all the older players have an excuse to travel to Chiang Mai and "play cricket" has now been transformed into a younger, fitter and more sober team.

Comprising of left overs from the CH Stray Cats, The Tom Cats now have the capacity to beat previous years winning record of 1 game per tournament. But with the old CHCC players still coming along for the ride, there will be a fair bit of sledging if they don't.

Clifton Hill Tom Cats Players

  • Jacob "Jakeib" Babu

Jacob 'Jakieb' Babu is a kiwi lad back for his 3rd CM tour to lead the Tom Cats into battle. Often known in NZ cricketing circles as the world's fastest Indian, Jakieb will be the voice of reason in an otherwise loose Tom Cats lineup. Also heard a rumour that we are combing this CM trip as his stag do, look out CM!

  • Jesse "Shoulders" Parlane

Some say he got hit for the biggest 6 in the history of the competition in 2015, but in this writers humble opinion it was the biggest 6 in the history of the game. Now a veteran (by Clifton Hill standards at least) of the CM6s, Shoulders is rounding off a small tour of South East Asia with his sweet heart Lily, lets hope he behaves himself and she signs his permission slip.

  • Lachlan "Hammer" Elmore

Hammer, despite being the tallest man in Thailand is also the slowest bowler and his man bun is as bad as his batting. If you run in to Hammer around the tournament make sure to ask him how the weather is up there. The name Hammer wasn't acquired on the cricket field so if you see him at Zoe's bar watch your daughters, mothers and girlfriends.

  • Micha "Wortho" Worthington

Wortho, another CM virgin is probably the most quite reserved of the team. Don't expect to see much of the young fella, his most likely to be hold up in him room preparing for his next game.

  • Mitchell "Mitch"Hickey

Mitchell 'Mitchy' Hickey is a Kiwi lad on his debut CM6s tour. Mitchy can't wait to get out of his parents basement and begin his OE starting in CM, let's hope Thailand doesn't break him too much and he actually gets to see some more of the world. He will struggle without his mum but hourly phone calls to back home should solve that issue. This CM virgin is certainly looking forward to seeing what Zoes has to offer.

  • Rory "Roz" Morgan

Second generation player at the CM6s, Roz knows a thing or two about a thing or two. He's sharp with the gloves and crafty with the bat. If his mouth had an off switch, he'd probably be a good example of a cricketer.

  • Thomas 'Bueg" Robinson

For 2016 we have yet another CM virgin in our midst. However 'Buegs' as he's known around the hill, is no stranger to virginity, so he should find his feet quickly. However don't expect to see him using them them between the wickets as he's known to find the boundary rope with relative ease. He's short of stature, put his presence will surely be felt in and around Chiang Mai.

  • William "Surprise" Ryan

Surprise is back after a year off from CM, in actual fact he has only just recovered from his last tour. If you ever lose Surprise your most likely to find him boosting the local economy by buying up all the roses or wristbands off a local vendor. We may or may not see Surprise at the tournament.

  • Bruce "Korma" Foy

Bruce 'Korma' Foy is another Kiwi lad back for his 3rd tour of CM. He is yet to play a game, in fact, he confesses himself that he doesn't even like cricket! The only reason he comes to go to Zoes each night, try his luck, and then refuse to talk to anyone the following day until it all starts again. Look out for his moves on the dancefloor in Zoes and you will always see him at Burger King at the end of the night.
