Clifton Hill Stray Cats

A team that has evolved from the "World Famous" Clifton Hill Cricket Club based in metro Melbourne. This year will see the "World Famous" Stray Cats take to the field for their 7th consecutive CM Sixes event.

Originally a team that was built out of blokes that could no longer score runs higher than their age, the Stray Cats are now a youthful team, however due to the CM nightlife, they too struggle to score runs more than their age.

A talented bunch of cricketers that have always looked likely but consistently never fail to disappoint their die hard supporters. You never know, maybe 2017 might see a early night that could be the difference.

Clifton Hill Stray Cats Players

  • Andrew "Roo" Tiddy

The only tour virgin in the Stray Cats line up this year. Hails from the inbred capital of New Zealand, Matamata. The man can bat and bowl and will relish the Chiang Mai nightlife.

  • Eamonn "Scotty" Scott

Pup is once again our inspirational leader. Good Bat. Good Bowl. Good Hair. Should do well on and off the pitch. He'll be once again trying to take Tournament best figures after having the honour taken off him in 2015.

  • Jeff "Jeffris" Lyons

Kiwi Jeffris is old. He's back for the 88th time. He'll be the voice of reason amongst a lot of unreasonable voices. Loves cricket and podiums.

  • John "Monster" Coomb

Monster is certainly developing a healthy Christmas Card list from his visits to the CM Sixes. From the Russians entrepreneurs to most bars in town, Monster never fails to leave a stone unturned, or a turn unstoned for that matter. But come match time he will be there, shirt collar up! Gold!

  • Josh "JP" Barnett

Another Kiwi back for his 2nd tour after a couple years off to recover from his 1st CM trip. It's fair to say the nightlife got the better of him last time and we aren't expecting anything different from his this time round.

  • Lachlan "Hammer" Elmore

Hammer, despite being the tallest man in Thailand is also the slowest bowler and his man bun is as bad as his batting. If you run in to Hammer around the tournament make sure to ask him how the weather is up there. The name Hammer wasn't acquired on the cricket field so if you see him at Zoe's bar watch your daughters, mothers and girlfriends.

  • Rodney "Rocket" Peterson

AKA Country Sportsman, Rocket has certainly made his mark on the Gymhkana wicket, and just to the left and right of it as well. A true champion of all sports, he will again lead the teams tournament objective of winning more than one game.

Clifton Hill Stray Cats Supporters

  • Bronson "Bruno" Cawley

Kiwi lad back supporting the Clifton Hill lads for a 2nd time after his first appearance in 2014. Can't wait for all of what Chiang Mai has to offer and is dying to get back in the Duangtawan's pool with his blow up jandal.

  • Bruce "Korma" Foy

A Kiwi lad on his 4th straight trip supporting the Stray Cats although played a couple of games last year and did surprisingly well, even hit the winning runs in one game. A bloke you just can't keep away from CM and will be on the sidelines supporting the lads, beer in hand.
