A welcome return to the ladies competition at the Chiang Mai Sixes for the Thai Angels as a new generation of girls are playing hardball cricket as part of the Chiang Mai Schools Cricket Association's hard ball coaching program. Girls from schools in Mae On play alongside former pupils from Prince Royal College, now at university. The Angels have been been playing practice matches with members of the Beaverettes and the Chiang Mai Chassis as well as attending Friday nets at Gymkhana.
Sunday mornings at Gymkhana have often seen the girls training alongside the youngest boys as Chiang Mai Lanna CC have created a new ladies section to go alongside the men's and junior sections. Two of the girls, Pin, daughter of Martin and Puy Papworth, and Ting Tang even played in a match against the British Club, and did extremely well.
Do not miss the ladies competition at the 2016 Sixes. the girls from all three teams have been training harder than ever before.
