Lamphun girls continue to improve and develop with a new squad of players. Lamphun coach, Cher, is still working hard to maintain the standard set by our previous players. After a very successful 2033/24 season winning the u19 national championship and runners up u in the u15 championship the team lost several key players. Our captain Ton Khao went back home to Chiang Rai to study and Tai into full time work, both players were in the national Thailand senior squad, so major loses for Lamphun, and along with other older girls depleted the team of experienced players. This year has seen 3 Lamphun girls move into the u19 Thailand team and 2 of them are now in the senior Thailand squad.
Our new captain is Gear, a very capable opener and she is backed up by u19 Thailand bowler Jai, Gift our young fast bowler, with all-rounders Sky, Mon, Farsai.
Unfortunately for the girls, they will have to wait to play later in the tournament as the national u19 competition will run at the similar time as the 6s. but it also gives playing opportunities for other girls to start in the earlier matches.
