Siam Firebacks

A new name for the local ladies cricket team who have taken over from Chiang Mai Chassies and Diva Drives. They have been training hard on Friday mornings and thanks must go to Maiken and Jeannette for their hard work with Boggy and Thol and Elephant Parade respectively as for the first time this year we have sponsored staff shirts and a fantastic prize for ladies player of the tournament. The ladies prize is a beautiful pendant and all winning players will get an miniature elephant as a prize.

Siam Firebacks Players

  • Beaw Thatsanaprai

Raised in the mountains of Northern Thailand, Beaw is as tough as the terrain she grew up on. Strong, sharp, and quietly fierce, she’s the kind of player you want on your side when things get competitive. Don’t be distracted by the beautiful smile that’s just there to keep you calm before she outplays you. Mountain strength, fighter’s spirit, and brains to match

  • Jeannette Brüske Woelinga

The Champion of Elephants and quite possibly the happiest human alive. Jeannette brings unstoppable energy, enormous smiles, and enough positivity to power the whole team. If enthusiasm scored runs, we’d already have the trophy.

  • Leigh Obermayer

Fiercely supportive of women’s initiatives, Leigh is all drive and determination until she hits the weekend markets, where “just a quick look” becomes a strategic purchasing mission. Let’s just hope the T-shirt stall doesn’t distract her mid-innings… because if there’s a “Buy 2, Get 1 Free,” we may need to rotate the fielders.

  • Lulu Coombes

Our Brazilian beauty and seasoned Chiang Mai cricket veteran, Lulu brings rhythm to everything she does. If she’s not chasing down the ball, she’s probably adding a little samba to the outfield. Cricket with flair, footwork with fire.

  • Maiken Hjulgaard

Being our local jeweller, she knows a thing or two about sparkle. Our very own diamond in the rough, Maiken handles a cricket crease just like preparing a jewellery display, steady hands, sharp eye, and always shining when it matters most. If there’s pressure, she’ll set it… perfectly.

  • Petra Roberts

Our red-headed firecracker whose little legs can run for miles. The team’s profesionelle masseuse whose strong hands can catch and heal anything that comes her way.
