Dammit, Janet (Janet Kirwin)
In between hard gins and fizzy tonics, our single batslady knocks the balls for sixes, as she has been known to do with men…bruising many in the process. Soon to become a lady of leisure…and pleasure…Janet can be found most days chatting up the lads at the bar, freshening up her G+Ts.

Greener Pastures (Michelle Green)
Integral part of the team, she neither bats nor bowls particularly well, nor does she run at the speed of light, but she looks fantastic in a Chassies outfit, and is the heart the social soul that keeps us going year on year. That is why we are utterly dejected that she has been traded to the Surabaya Ladies Cricket Tournament, where she will no doubt be raiding people’s homes at 5am and picking Indonesian ‘Chassies’ Choices’.

Hallelujah Heather (Heather Thom)
One of the few Zimbabweans left, Heather is also a tournament virgin and promises to bring her powerful batting to intimidate all, and the rest of the team are looking forward to enjoy our gin and tonics as she racks up the sixes. Last to leave a party, we are going to have to pry her away, kicking and screaming, from the bar each night.

KGB (Natalia Hird)
Oh Tash, how do we count the ways! A two decade veteran of the Chassies, this lady from the Ukraine has seen it all and can bowl straighter, faster and harder than she can talk – and that is saying something (like she tends to do a lot of!)

Lekker Lek (Lek)
While the rest of the Chassies spend our year between tournaments discussing (read: gossip) cricket, Lek actually practices it. All. The. Time. A proper Thai lady, Lek just opens her mouth, and we spit out our gins and tonics because we can’t believe the naughtiness which comes of it. Pure muscles, Lek has the power…of a baseball player (which is how she pitches her balls).

Peeping Pim (Pim Kemasingki)
Ignominiously, she was the captain to have helmed the first ever loss of the Chassies…and has been sulking ever since. She will tell anyone about her fabulous bowling and fantastic batting, but hasn’t been tested on the field for about half a decade, though we hear she still bats and bowls off field (wink wink). She will be sitting on the sidelines, g+t in hand, whipping the girls in shape and checking out Chassies’ Choice.

Road Rinner (Rin Woods)
Fittest and fastest bird on the field who speaks as fast as she sprints, except when she pecks on some ‘cookies’ when things go into slow-mo. Her bowling is as straight as her Welsh husband’s beeline to a sheep. Other ladies love fielding with Rinner because no one else has to move, as she sprints like a speedy hobbit.

Wicked Keeper (Anne Schoch)
Switzerland isn’t known for its cricket (too many mountains), but our wicket keeper knows how to catch and control a ball…or two. She keeps us all in line within the boundaries, on and off the field and has a clever tactic of distracting the opposition with inane chatter. Let’s hope she holds onto her wicket gloves as tightly as she does her champagne flutes.

World Champion (Nika Strifler)
As our virgin, Nika has come down in the world from her heady days of syncronised swimming in the World Championships to now playing with we Chassies. Her Olympian high-diving husband popped his cricket cherry last year with splendid results and we expect nothing less from this Belarusian beauty.
