A group of unusual suspects brought together by their love of cricket.
-
Barrett Bowley
Barrett is a first time visitor to Chiang Mai. Little is known of his cricketing proficiency, although he says the highlight of his cricket career is having a drink in the same bar as Jacques Kallis which makes him an all-rounder by association. If he can find the boundary as easily as he invades personal boundaries he might do OK. The Almar management would like to apologize in advance for inflicting the 'Hug Monster' on Chiang Mai.
-
Dax Bailey
Dax returns to CM for his 3rd tournament. This year he will be looking to impose his own identity after regularly being mistaken for Sa Pa's Nish or Bermudian Dwayne Loverock. Management will also be hoping that CapeTown's most famed panda can improve his balls faced to dismissals ratio which currently stands at 1:1.
* Dax's first ball this year is a carry-over hat-trick from 2016. Whoever faces it Please, Please, Please don't get out.
-
Eugene Galley
Eugene's is another first time visitor to the Sixes. He is Cape Town's premier gigolo and is rumoured to have been the source of inspiration behind Rob Schneider's character from the film 'Deuce Bigalo'. Again, at the time of writing not much is known about his cricketing ability. Don't be fooled by his gait as he is reputed to possess the athletic prowess of an African Gazelle.
-
MC Laubscher
MC returns to Chiang Mai with the added yoke of being Almar"s premier batsman (cricketer). As a detective by trade he will find his batting support will be more similar to the help Inspector Clouseau received from Cato rather than the aid Sherlock Holmes derived from Dr Watson. MC will be hoping to rekindle the glory day of his youth to help Almar attain some level of cricketing mediocrity.
-
Terry Wallace
Terry returns to Chiang Mai 2 years after being sacked from team management duties. He is hoping to join the elite group of George Foreman, Magic Johnson & Pele who have come out of retirement and enhanced their sporting legacy. But now of an age where technological aids assist his daily dietary (blender), mobility (zimmer frame) & vision (milk bottles) needs this might prove beyond him.

William Crichton-Stuart
After a year away from the game Will returns as Almar's skipper. This mind blowing decision means he becomes the first Scotsman to captain a South African side since Alex Frew led the Springboks against Great Britain in 1903. Management explains this abominable selection by stating ''the added responsibility will take his game to new heights!!''
