Narayanganj Club Limited, one of the oldest recreational clubs of Bangladesh, was established way back in 1893 by the Europeans living in this part of the world during the British regime. At that time it was known as ‘European Club’ and mainly used for the amusement of the Europeans who used to travel to Narayanganj, (Bangladesh) , known as Dandee of the East, for their trade and commerce. The club eventually became very popular amongst its members and gained reputation at home and abroad for its outstanding recreational facilities and service quality. After the demise of the colonial era, the Club was named as ‘Narayanganj Club’ in 1947. The club has now more than 1400 dignified club members. How it was formed: More than one hundred years back one day 20 recreation-thirsty White British nationals had set up European Club at Narayanganj, awash with the river Shitalakhhya, far away from their motherland in 1893. With the change of time after 1947, it came to be known as Narayanganj Club. On the occasion of the centenary celebration of this centurion traditional club we pay respect to all concerned, native and alien, dead or alive, irrespective of religion, caste and creed. : " The Club has successfully crossed its age of 125 years last year with its Heritage and Pride" 2018 was celebrated for the 125th years celebration for the Club.
