Maruf is on fire as NCL Dynamites explode against Divine Felons

Day Five Report

It was all happening on day five of the 2018 Chiang Mai Sixes as Mehedi Hasan Maruf lit up the tournament by hitting 32 from six balls. 664466 were the details from the first over bowled by Divine Felon's Mike Terrington and the NCL Dynamites continued their onslaught as Inzamam and Syed Mokammel also retired in a total of 113 for 0 from five overs. The Dynamites claimed their place in the Cup semi-finals alongside St Francis de Sales who have also won all five of their matches.

NCL Masters lived up to their name as former national captains Akram Khan and Maimur Rahman saw their team into the Shield semi-finals along with Clifton Hill Stray Cats while Darjeeling and Perth Postels progressed in the Bowl. Summer Saints also booked their place on finals day on Saturday as they won both their matches in the Vase Group. Lanna CC's captain Jon Scales hit two 30s but his team won one and lost one so will have to wait and see if their place in the Bowl semi-finals is confirmed.

Rain swept in as darkness fell but skies have cleared for the penultimate day of the competition when all the fixtures for Finals Day will be confirmed. In the Cup the winners of the matches between UN Irish Pub and Divine Felons and Kashmir Thunder and Bristol will reach the semi-finals so there should be an exciting day's cricket ahead at Chiang Mai Gymkhana Club. All matches will again be shown live on the Sixes website and facebook page.
